These results suggest that, despite the findings that PDGFα can be actively involved in the regulation of glioma cell migration and that this regulation is carried out through Pyk2 and FAK signaling, the absence or low expression of PDGFα in the glioma–microglia microenvironment reduces the role of this factor in microglia-driven glioma cell migration.
