Results from this study demonstrated that the absence of CK2α in CD4+ T-cells resulted in significantly less colitis disease severity and intestinal inflammation, which was associated with decreased Th17 cells producing IL-17A, Th1 cells producing IFN-γ and double positive IL-17A, IFN-γ producing CD4+ T-cells in the spleen and colon. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and colitis.
