A two-marker panel of HE4 (p = 0.0046) and CEA (p = 0.095) including sex (p < 0.0001) and age (p = 0.0002) as cofactors remained in the model that had an AUC of 0.841 (0.767–0.915), which was greater than the individual biomarkers for IPMN versus CP (p value: CA19-9, HE4 and CEA, all at <0.0001). This evidence concerns the gene CEACAM5 and pancreatic intraductal papillary-mucinous neoplasm.
