A study by Laso et al. reported how D.C.s released IL1β, IL6, IL12, and TNFα in chronic alcoholic patients without liver disease [94]; furthermore, post mortem studies revealed that alcoholic patients with alcoholic ketoacidosis had elevated C-reactive protein (CRP) and higher levels of IL-6 and IL-10 in their femoral venous blood [95].
