The present study showed that in the presented urological diseases, i.e., benign prostatic hyperplasia urethral stricture, urinary tract infection and urolithiasis, there are changes in the concentrations of UPIIIa and UPII, both in the plasma and urine of patients compared to healthy people, especially in patients with BPH and UTI. This evidence concerns the gene UPK3A and bacterial urinary tract infection.
