Overexpression of mxd3 caused somatic growth and obesity, which then deteriorated the systemic lipid metabolic dysfunction (Mxd3 modulated adipokines in the adipose tissue of gMX2), ultimately resulting in dyslipidemia, liver steatosis, and NASH in MXs+Dox-treated zebrafish. This evidence concerns the gene MXD3 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
