Interestingly, given the long-term in vivo persistence, satisfying tumor trafficking, and no significant toxic adverse effect of a GD2-CAR-IL-15 NKT, a first-in-human clinical trial has been performed in children with relapsed or resistant neuroblastoma following pre-treatment with Cyclophosphamide/Fludarabine (Cy/Flu). The gene discussed is IL15; the disease is neuroblastoma.
