Amplification of EGFR was found in 12.5% of lo-grade and in 31.8% of high-grade gliomas (p = 0.099); PI3K was amplified in 50% of low-grade and 40.9% of high-grade gliomas (p = 0.36), and amplification of AKT was found in 25% of low-grade and 13.6% of high-grade gliomas (p = 0.64) (Figure 1). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and central nervous system cancer.
