UGDH and breast cancer: Interestingly, even though the high expression of UGDH was associated with worse survival in basal breast cancer patients (Fig. 6A) and decreased UGDH jeopardized cell proliferation (Fig. 6B,C) and invasion (Fig. 6D,E and Fig. S6A–C), all the mesenchymal cells in this study possess upregulated UGDH and are nontumorigenic.
