In this study, we showed that a) STAT3 phosphorylation increased primarily in the proximal tubules of WT but not Ddr1-KO mice after AKI; and b) DDR1 activation increased STAT3 phosphorylation in RPTECs, and this event was reduced by treatment with the selective DDR1 inhibitor Cmp-1. This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and acute kidney injury.
