Immune cells, both of the innate and adaptive systems, as well as other cytokines and signaling molecules, also contribute to the tumor microenvironment.[12] The increasing evidence have suggested that innate and adaptive immune mediators in the tumor microenvironment play an important role in tumor progression of laryngeal carcinomas, such as IL-33, tumor necrosis factor superfamily member 13, neutrophil infiltration, and Treg cells.[13–15].
