TUG1 and vitiligo: It has been reported that LncRNA TUG1 was significantly downregulated in serum of vitiligo patients.[25] Other studies suggested that lncRNA MALAT1 was upregulated in the epidermis lesion of vitiligo and may protection from UV mediated DNA damage by function as a miR-211 suppressor.[26] However, our high throughput sequencing data showed that there was no significant change in the expression of LncRNA TUG1 and lncRNA MALAT1 in PBMC of vitiligo patients.
