Individual SR proteins are implicated in different cancers [2]; for example, SRSF1 is associated with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), prostate, lung and breast cancer [2,3], SRSF2 and SRSF4 with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) [2,11,12], SRSF3 with colon cancer and osteosarcoma [5,13], SRSF5 with lung and breast cancer [2,14] and SRSF6 with breast and skin cancer [2,14]. Here, SRSF2 is linked to acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
