Paradoxically, enhancing the activity of ALDH2 by N-(1,3-benzodioxol-5-ylmethyl)-2,6-dichlorobenzamide, commonly known as Alda-1 inhibited the cancer stemness, proliferation and migration, leading to minimization of DNA damage in lung adenocarcinoma cells [32]. This evidence concerns the gene ALDH2 and lung adenocarcinoma.
