Acrosin activity is positively correlated with sperm morphology (regarding percentages of normal morphology) and negatively correlated with percentages of sperm with acrosome deficiency [270,271,272], so sperm with impaired acrosin activity will not be able to penetrate zona pellucida and fuse with the oocyte, thus contributing to male subfertility/infertility. This evidence concerns the gene ACR and Infertility.
