NR4A1 and breast carcinoma: A case-control study comparing PLD-based and conventional anthracycline-based regimens in 102 women with stage I–IIIa breast cancer (63.7% and 71.6% of patients in the two treatment groups had hormone receptor positive disease, respectively) found that five-year DFS was comparable for PLD and epirubicin (81.3% vs. 82.3% respectively; p = 0.939), but there was higher grade 3 and 4 toxicity in patients receiving epirubicin-based regimens than in those receiving PLD-based regimens except for hand-foot syndrome [32].
