CD30 is a membrane-bound glycoprotein belonging to the tumor-necrosis-factor receptor superfamily (TNFRSF) whose expression in healthy tissues is limited to activated lymphocytes and is upregulated on malignant cells, most notably in Hodgkin’s lymphoma and anaplastic large-cell lymphoma [6,12]. This evidence concerns the gene TNFRSF8 and Hodgkins lymphoma.
