Fang et al. (2014) conducted a comprehensive genomic analysis of metastatic colon cancer to the lung and showed that some of these mutated genes (ADCY9, ADCY2, GNB5, K-ras, HDAC6, and ARHGEF17) are crucially involved in the phospholipase C signaling network; furthermore, they may effect on the lung metastasis in colon cancer. Chen et al. (2017) observed that PKCε-dependent phosphorylation of migration and invasion inhibitory protein (MIIP) stimulated by EGF could inhibit RelA deacetylation, activate RelA transcription, and promote tumor metastasis in EGF-stimulated HCT116 cells. This evidence concerns the gene KRAS and malignant colon neoplasm.
