Because of the above mentioned condition, it has been observed earlier that, in the most aggressive cancer of epithelial tissues, FOXP3 may help in the suppression of cancer as these aggressive cancer tissues harbored very low or no expression of FOXP3 at the transcript and protein levels (Wang et al., 2009; Jiang and Ruan, 2014; Li et al., 2011).
