Participants were asked to respond whether thyroid hormones may be indicated in biochemically euthyroid patients with: unexplained fatigue; obesity resistant to life-style interventions; severe hypercholesterolemia, as a complementary treatment; depression resistant to anti-depressant medications; female infertility with high level of thyroid antibodies; simple goiter growing over time; or whether treatment is never indicated for these patients. This evidence concerns the gene TG and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
