MPPE1 and neoplasm: cDC1 express XCR1 (Dorner et al., 2009), as well as CCR1 and CCR5, both of which bind CCL5 (McColl, 2002) and have antitumor functions; they can attract and activate tumor-specific CD8 T cells (Spranger et al., 2017) (Broz et al., 2014), and internalize and transport tumor antigens to lymph nodes, where they may cross-prime CD8 T cells (Roberts et al., 2016).
