KLK4 and prostate carcinoma: The two LE cell populations were present in normal prostate and prostate cancer samples and were transcriptionally distinct with one cluster expressing high levels of KLK3 (encoding kallikrein related peptidase 3—also known as prostate-specific antigen [PSA]), KLK2, and KLK4 (annotated as LE-KLK3)—and the second cluster expressing high levels of KLK4 and little KLK3 (annotated as LE-KLK4) (Figure 2B).
