Based on these experiments, UBQLN4 is activated by C/EBPβ and exerts its oncogenic effects on CRC by activating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway to upregulate β-catenin expression, which further activates the transcription of the downstream target gene c-Myc and upregulates c-Myc expression. Here, UBQLN4 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
