Serum E-cadherin is higher in thyroid papillary carcinoma than in benign nodules and normal tissues, while the expression of E-cadherin in thyroid papillary carcinoma was lower than that in paracancerous tissues, and it was significantly correlated with malignant phenotypes such as lymphatic metastasis and distant metastasis [158, 172]. This evidence concerns the gene CDH1 and thyroid gland papillary carcinoma.
