Recombinant anti-MASP2 (Narsoplimab), which inhibits lectin pathway activation, has been tested as a COVID-19 therapeutic, resulting in rapid reduction in inflammatory and cell death markers (CRP, IL-6, IL-8, LHD) in six treated patients with ARDS (Rambaldi et al. 2020). Here, MASP2 is linked to COVID-19.
