As shown in Table 1, no association was observed between the number of CD68+ macrophages that infiltrated the CT and MI regions and the clinicopathological features of patients, including age, sex, body mass index, carcinoembryonic antigen, tumor location, and lymph node metastasis, with the exception of tumor size. This evidence concerns the gene CEACAM5 and metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
