Compared to patients without SAP, patients with SAP had lower GCS scores (median: 8 vs. 12.5, IQR: 5–10 vs. 8–15, p< 0.001), higher serum CRP scores (median: 12.9 vs. 5.3, IQR: 4.63–33.6 vs. 1.98–13.4, p< 0.001) at ICU admission, a higher proportion of males (63.5 vs. 36.5%, p< 0.001) and a higher proportion of hypertension (56.5 vs. 41.7%, p= 0.039).
