An oncogenic role for NFIB has been shown in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), small cell lung cancer (SCLC), colorectal and gastric cancers, and melanoma by enhancing tumor growth, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), migration, and invasion [13, 29, 30, 47, 53].
