Recently, Uhan et al. evaluated the methylation status of probe cg13561879 located in the promoter region of UNC5D by methylation-specific high-resolution melting analysis (MS-HRM), and found that hypermethylation of this probe could be served as a potential novel diagnostic biomarker for colorectal cancer, but with no significant prognostic value [37]. This evidence concerns the gene UNC5D and colorectal cancer.
