More precisely, a series of experiments, such as chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), luciferase reporter and biotinylated RNA pull-down assays, revealed that TFAP2C-induced circIL4R can act as a sponge for miR-761 to enhance TRIM29 expression, and forced overexpression of TRIM29 promotes ubiquitin-mediated degradation of PHLPP1 to activate the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway and promote the proliferation and metastasis of CRC cells. Here, AKT1 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
