Numerous studies have reported mutation of MYB proteins toward pathogenesis of human cancers, especially acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL)2, paediatric low-grade gliomas3, cancers of the gastrointestinal tract4–6 and breast cancer7.Growing evidences of MYB oncoproteins and cancers necessitates an in-depth understanding at molecular level in unravelling its pathogenesis towards cancer. The gene discussed is MYB; the disease is cancer.
