Furthermore, a univariate ANCOVA resulted in no significant differences (corrected meanNGT = 0.475 ± 0.022, meanGDM = 0.429 ± 0.028; p = 0.239) in GPC-4 levels between NGT and GDM at GW 35–37 correcting for baseline GPC-4 levels as well as potential risk factors for GDM such as BMI, weight gain, maternal age and fasting insulin and glucose. Here, GPC4 is linked to gestational diabetes.
