The analysis of the functional enrichment showed FSTL3 to be involved in “extracellular matrix organization,” “extracellular structure organization,” “collagen-containing extracellular matrix,” “platelet-derived growth factor binding,” “Protein digestion and absorption,” ECM-receptor interaction,” and “Focal adhesion.” Most results have been correlated to the EMT or extracellular matrix (ECM) leading to the invading phenotype of the carcinoma cells.
