IGHA1 and IgA glomerulonephritis: Previous studies have tried to find biomarkers of IgA nephropathy from serum and urine samples, such as increasing galactose-deficient IgA1 (Gd-IgA1) in serum (Caliskan and Kiryluk, 2014), decreasing mRNA level of IFI27 protein in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (Nagasawa et al., 2016), and combination of seven urinary markers (Neprasova et al., 2016).
