Based on the findings of these studies, the NMPA has approved pembrolizumab as a first-line treatment in combination with pemetrexed and platinum chemotherapy for metastatic nonsquamous NSCLC (EGFR/ALK wild-type) and in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel for metastatic squamous NSCLC (83). Here, ALK is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
