TFRC and nutritional disorder: Using sTfR concentration as a biomarker of iron status, an increased odds of iron deficiency was found among children aged 6–23 months [OR = 4.80; 95% CI [3.57, 6.46]), stunted children (AOR = 1.69; 95% CI [1.20, 2.38]), and children in middle wealth quintile households (AOR = 1.92; 95% CI [1.16, 3.17]) and among children living in the Terai ecological region compared with mountains (AOR = 3.48; 95% CI [2.02, 5.99]).
