DNM1 and cancer: Reis et al. [28] found that DNM1 overexpression selectively activates tumor necrosis factor- (TNF-) related apoptosis-inducing ligand death receptors to modulate endocytosis, suppress apoptosis, and improve cell migration and survival, indicating that reduced DNM1 expression may sensitize cells to apoptosis induction, while increased DNM1 expression levels may promote apoptosis resistance, thereby enhancing tumorigenesis and cancer progression.
