To test whether non-canonical Wnt signaling is required for ISC migration, we knocked down components of the pathway in ISCs, before infecting flies with Ecc15. Infection-induced cellular protrusions, as well as ISC migration, were no longer observed after depleting Dsh, Otk, or the second Drosophila Fz, Fz2, while knockdown of the second Drosophila Ptk7 orthologue, Otk2, or Fz had no effect (Fig. 2A, Supplementary Fig. 4a, b, and Supplementary Movie 12–13).
