FGF2 and neoplasm: Curcumin stimulates neurogenesis (the process of supplying food and energy to a tumor while also removing toxins) by controlling endothelial features, which include a few other metabolic enzymes, e.g., basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), epidermal growth factor (EGF), granulocyte colony-stimulating factor, interleukin 8(IL-8), platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF), transforming growth factor–tumor necrosis factor (TGF– TNF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF),and many small particles (e.g., adenosine, prostaglandin E).
