In view of the strong preclinical data associating CHFR with paclitaxel sensitivity (see Introduction), as well as the recent report implicating a UBC13-DNMT1-CHFR pathway in paclitaxel sensitivity of clinical ovarian cancer [35], we were concerned that inclusion of a platinum compound in the treatment might be confounding an underlying relationship between paclitaxel sensitivity and HGSOC response. The gene discussed is UBE2N; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
