The Human Protein Atlas (HPA), which catalogues survival data for many cancers based on the expression level of various proteins, shows that patients with low RASSF2-expressing colon cancer have a poorer prognosis (p = 0.038), which is consistent with our results, as promoter methylation of the gene inhibits its expression [29]. The gene discussed is RASSF2; the disease is malignant colon neoplasm.
