Increased (p < 0.05) markers of insulin resistance, evidenced by glycemia and insulinemia at baseline levels and 2 h after an oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), homeostasis model assessment (HOMA), quantitative insulin sensitivity check index (QUICKI) and adipocyte insulin resistance index (Adipo-IR), were detected in patients with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) and T2D compared with those with normoglycemia (NG).
