DRD2 and colitis: Bromocriptine (primarily a D2R subfamily agonist, with a higher affinity to D2/3R, see Table 3) administration, at the dose of 10 mg/kg via i.p. for 5 days after challenge enemas, reduced mortality rate among DNFB-treated mice (3%) compared to the control (6%) group, and reduced the morphological signs of colitis.
