In an investigation into the effects of Angiotensin 1-7 on joint inflammation and cardiac complications in an arthritis model, Wang et al. [27] demonstrated that Angiotensin 1-7-treated mice showed reduced TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 levels, with reduced synovial tissue hyperplasia, inflammatory infiltrate, and bone destruction, demonstrating a protective effect of angiotensin 1-7 on joints. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and arthritic joint disease.
