For CCL2 and CCL8, it was the highest and indicative of gene upregulation (by 1.8- and 1.5-fold, respectively) in the polyp compared with the corresponding normal mucosa in hyperplastic polyps and the lowest in adenocarcinoma in the polyp, being indicative of gene downregulation in the polyp compared with the normal mucosa (by 11.1- and 16.7-fold, respectively). The gene discussed is CCL2; the disease is hyperplastic polyp.
