Being from a location with a high prevalence of malaria was associated with higher total IgE levels (P ≤ 0.001) (Fig. 1 and Fig. S6) and P. falciparum-specific IgG levels in univariable models, specifically for EXP1, AMA1, MSP142, MSP2, and MSP5, but not with helminth-specific IgG levels (Fig. 1).
