Besides, astrocyte-specific NLRP3 conditional KO (NLRP3-cKO), Casp-1–KO (Casp-1–/–), and GSDMD-KO (GSDMD–/–) mice were manipulated to restrain the NLRP3/Casp-1/GSDMD signal transduction pathway in mouse astrocytes, and the adenoviral vector was used to make astrocytic GSDMD-N overexpressed to allow for the evaluation of its critical role in the pathogenesis of depression and the clarification of the possible molecular mechanism for astrocytic loss in the development of depression.
