These data are also supported by different studies that reported how the CHFR promoter methylation predicted the response to taxanes in metastatic non-small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) (24) or gastric adenocarcinoma (22), similar to what has been shown in patients with colorectal adenocarcinoma treated with irinotecan in which a significantly longer time-to-progression (TTP) was observed in those with methylated CHFR.
