The proportions of Th1 (CD4+ IFN-γ+) and Th2 (CD4+ IL-4+) cells were increased in the CLNs of the AD mouse model; whereas in the AD mice receiving oral IW5, the percentage of Th1 cells (IW5-H vs. PBS; mean diff=-0.578%, P<0.001) and Th2 cells (IW5-H vs. PBS; mean diff=-0.68%, P<0.01) in the CLNs was significantly decreased (Figures 2A, S2A, D). This evidence concerns the gene IL4 and Alzheimer disease.
