The enzymes 2,4-dienoyl-CoA reductase (DECR) (Supplemental Figure S9) and 3,2-trans-enoyl-CoA isomerase (D3D2), which participate in the metabolism of unsaturated fatty enoyl-CoA esters, also showed reduced expression in samples of patients with CCC and DCM, and in samples of patients with CCC and IC, respectively, when compared to control samples. This evidence concerns the gene DECR2 and familial dilated cardiomyopathy.
