A total of 10 cancer genes were identified as drivers in our cohort (Figure 2A, middle), including KMT2C, TP53, CYLD, NCOA1, NOTCH1, NSD1, WHSC1L1, BAP1, CDKN2A, and PBRM1. Among these, seven genes were recurrently mutated in more than one case whereas three curated genes (BAP1, CDKN2A, and PBRM1) were sporadically altered in affected patients. This evidence concerns the gene BAP1 and cancer.
